Two days ago I was browsing through Berlin-Friedrichshain looking for a new pair of jeans but I pretty soon I had to realize that all those hip and trendy stores are way to expensive for me. So I decided to visit one of my favourite stores in the district: Big Brobot. Of course, their clothes are too expensive, too, but they got cute stuffed animals and other friends and a good selection of books. So I decided once again that I need to buy one of these giant ugly dolls next time I am relatively rich and had a look a t the comic/graphic novel section. My sight fell on one particularly small book that caught my eye because there are a cat, a sofa and a monster cushion on it. Three things I totally love! I took a look at two or three of the three panel stories inside and decided that I absolutely have to have this book!
Liz Prinz’s autobiographic comic strips are drawn in a cute sketchbook style and the stories they tell are even cuter. Especially “stupid sulk” and “bedtime” are amazing! When I searched the internet for more information I found out that this is a compilation of webcomics (plus two unreleased ones) and that Liz already put out more stuff. Awesome! I already spend a good while on her website since. Why the fuck is there no (or little) stuff like this in my fucking country?! I wish I could draw… Thank you, Liz Prinz, for making and sharing this!
