Kaput Krauts are beyond doubt one of the best punk bands in this shitty country and their first full length proves it once again. Imagine early Muff Potter playing at a Marx reading circle in a beach club. Political, witty and personal lyrics meet good songwriting with some electronic gimmicks every now and then. “auto?” is positively one of the best punk song’s I have heard in years. A total hit with a chorus that will stick in your head until the day you die…
It is fast, it is energetic, it is everything punk should be. And if you ever saw singer Fossi hug a skinhead while singing to jeep him from macho dancing you simply have to love this band (or be a stupid skinhead…). Let’s finish this review with an absolute recommendation and a quote from “usaantifada” that might prove the band’s wit: “deutsch ist der, der deutsches tut!” (german is who german does). Kaput Krauts Yeah!
