Most music dvds are pretty unspectacular and no one needs them anyway as they simply lack any emotion or passion. This one is different. It is more than a live concert, one or two videos and an interview. This is a movie, a road movie to name it or maybe a road musical. It shows a one month tour of Against Me! together with Planes Mistaken For Stars and No Choice from Wales through the east US. During this tour numerous major labels tried to sign Against Me! and send out their A&Rs or whatever to lure them by buying them drinks and telling them major labels were humans, too. It is so funny to watch these morons playing punks to get this punk band on board but on the other hand the interviews done with the band during this passage give a very deep insight into their world and into what the band means to them. Then there is tons of short interviews with various people form other bands, clubs or labels and kids in front of the venues that eighter love the band or call them sell outs. All this is interrupted by astonishingly fabulous live performances of all the band's hits.
As bonus the dvd offers a picture gallery, a feature about fat wreck plus other stuff. The artwork is beautiful as well and the dvd comes in a digipack. I really don't know how in the world a music dvd could possibly be any better! [jan]
