Their info says that Fluid To Gas are already around since 1994 and as they are a german band it is really hard for me to believe that I have really never heard of them up to the moment that this cd fluttered into my house. It is even harder to believe as this album is really good and absolutely in a style that I like. That is DC like posthardcore in a pretty 90s rooted way with an up to date sound and flavour. There are a lot of sound gimmicks and a much elaborated guitar sound along with linear song writing. It is more a record to listen to and get the vibe than to think about and meditate.
It is hard for me to write a lot about this record. It is simply good and thought through very well. The song “lunchbox” features guest musicians from Lunchbox, their former colleagues from back in the days. It is good to hear that a band can still sound fresh and not the least bit outdated. Good one.
