We did a show with this posthardcore band from England and they were really great, in fact much better than expected (thanx to Jakub for booking the tour!). Their songs are very rhythmic and their songwriting is rather riff oriented. I like the way they switch between distorted and clean guitars. Guitarist and Singer Phil somehow manages that there is – unlike many screamo bands – no loss of pressure and broadness of sound when he steps on the distortion paddle.
They really make a whole lotta lärm for a three piece. Bass and drums form are very grooving rhythm section. My fave is song three “evidence” that has got a so damn hooky bass line you’ll dream of it next night. Unfortunately I can’t understand the lyrics and they aren’t in they booklet either. So I can’t say what the lyrics are about.
This four song cd came out on the highly sympathetic label Genin. Follow the link below and read their manifesto. I talked to the guy behind this thing who did the merch table for Silent Front. Very nice guy! This band and this label are truly worth your attention and support!
