Maybe you have heard of Harlan T. Bobo as bassplayer in Viva L#American Death Ray Music. His name also appeared in Quentin Tarantino’s films because Harlan did some compositions for his movies in the past.
This time Harlan comes around with his first solo release “too much love“. Musically this is no punkrock – it’s singer/songwriter stuff. In just nine songs he describes „the worst and best of loving yvonne bobo“.
The songs are really multifaced: at some points it reminds me of Johnny Cash, at other points it sounds like Rocky Votolato and in the next moment I think of Eric Clapton. Some of his compositions are calm and others are energetic like you expect it from a guy with punk roots.
I really like it - this is the best promo record I recieved in quite a long time! Despite I am not sure if this release will stick out of the masses of good records in the singer/songwriter category. There were so damn many great records during the last time. If you are still looking for another one you definitely have to check out this one!
