Honestly I don’t really know their older material because residing in Hamburg there is already a dozen bands of this style directly in front of my doorsteps and why go farther then you need? However this walk might have been worth taking. Duesenjaeger are good in finding just the right melange of melancholy and melody. The only thing I would criticize is the lyrics that are far from being bad but not quite the same league as Schneller Autos Organisation, Turbostaat or Oma Hans. There is a lack of big sentences, lines that stick in your head and become familiar quotations to you or at least to me.

Very much worth checking out if you like any of the bands mentioned above and a good filler for the time waiting for the full lengths of Matula and Captain Planet. Definitely the best band on a label I don’t like at all.  [jan]
