I really loved Escapado's debut 7“ but compared to their full length that was nothing. This record sets a new standard for emotinonal screamo hardcore. The sound is perfect, the artwork is awesome and the personal, german lyrics run deep. The day I got this record it never left my record player untill I had to leave and this record made me being late where I had to go. Helge's singing voice has improved incredibly since the 7“ and his screams couldn't be better. The songs are just wow. I really can't pick a favourite, maybe „hier und jetzt“ or „welches leben?“ but the best part is definitely in „szenario“. The lines „scheiß auf vergangenheit, scheiß auf die zukunft, in diesem moment zählt nur das jetzt“ („fuck the past, fuck the future, it is this moment which counts“) are one of the most intense moments in hardcore songs ever for me. I actually have tears in my eyes while writing this...
This is one of the best hardcore records ever released on this side of the atlantic and even most us-bands would kill to be just as incredibly awesome as Escapado are on this piece of vinyl. [jan]
