The show took place at the Knust in Hamburg. Only about 50 people were there and they all had to wait until the soccer match germany vs. argentina was over. Another 20 left after the absolutely shitty local support (two guys constantly insisting on having fucked all our mothers while I went to Emmioglu for a falafel...). Two worlds of hip hop colided here. The wannabe gangsters with their towels flung around their necks with the friends and this completely new shit Grand Buffet (so good!) and Sage brought that night. Grand Buffet are indeed the Atom & His Package of hip hop and Sage is just impressing. This muscular, bald guy with his enormous beard telling jokes and being so full of self irony. It was such a blow, just so good. I don't really find words for it...

The record is just as brilliant. Songs like „escape artist“ or „bridle“ really bring hip hop to another level. Rapping has never been so emo. I listen to a lotta hip hop recently but no records spins as often as this one. The beats, the guitars, the voice, the lyrics... Fuck Yeah! Don't take this too serious, I'm just a fan... [jan]
