Der Tante Renate has readjusted his sound. There is no more guitars on “simplex” or at least none that sound like guitars. The whole thing is less playful but much more compact. Most tracks are purely instrumental and everything sounds more like dancefloor than like living room or ipod. Or let me put it like this: with “simplex” on your ipod your living room becomes a dancefloor.

This got the potential of being huge. Not only in terms of sound but also in terms of quality and hit potential Alter Ego and T.Raumschmiere aren’t too bad as comparisons. Especially the last track “dennis bester tag” sounds like a preview for the next Super Discount record. If this record doesn’t crank up your party your friends truly suck!  [jan]
