This record was produced by one guitarist of Heaven Shall Burn. I guess this is why the guitars sound so damn good. I’d even say that I have heard very few metalcore records with such a good guitar sound.
Unfortunately guitar sound is not everything and especially the clean vocals are sooooo lame. Caliban suck! Didn’t anyone tell you? In my eyes metalcore is a dead end anyway. In a few years from now all these bands will be gone and forgotten and true metal will rule again. When I listen to this uninspired crap I really long for Hammerfall or Dragonforce. At least these bands don’t even pretend they had something to say. I’ve read over the lyrics in the booklet and they are nothing but blah and repeated stereotypes. All this pseudo darkness and third hand emotion. I am thankful that this is not my scene! I think from now on I will just ignore promos that suck…
Oh, and they got an eastpak sponsorship. Thumbs up!
