People who live in Austria are generally thought to be a little eccentric. Of course this is a prejudice but Ilias Dahimene aka. Vortex Rex lives in Austria and he has really something eccentric about him at least if his music is half way representative for himself.
This ep is like an alpine version of anti folk or maybe new weird europe. Most tracks sound like a even lofier version of Japanther, the rest sounds like Animal Collective meeting early Tschilp. Fuck genre borders! Fuck borders in general! This is a fine piece of music just in the right middle position between arts and fuck you. [jan]
