Four tiny pieces of heart-warming music, played with a whole lot of smoothly sounding instruments and recorded very intimately. I can’t help it, I have to think of Julie Delpy in “before sunset” and how she sings her song for Jessie in her bedroom at the end of the movie. If you have seen this movie and remember this scene you might have a very good idea of what this record feels like.

I’d love to see this music played live on the deck of a boat on the Seine while the sun sets or in the almost empty bar of a former first class hotel where the lights are dimmed very low so you can’t see the weary faces of the people who will sit here all night unable to sleep, drowning their sorrows in liquor, hoping to find relief in the melodies that wrap them.
