I Might Be Wrong is an electro/indie/pop band from Berlin/Germany. „cold comfort“ is a five track single for promoting their upcoming debut „it tends to flow from high to low“, which will be released on Sinnbus on November, 23rd. I have never heard of this band before but singer Lisa von Billerbeck used to spent some time in Monochrome and sang on their fantastic latest release „eclat“.
The first song is the theme song, number two will also appear on the forthcoming full length. „this way, better“ is exclusive to the release followed by two different remixes of „cold comfort“.
I Might Be Wrong are definitely pop but they are much more than just background music. Complex song structures let different feelings come up to my mind. Comparisons to similar artists are bands like Azure Ray, Lali Puna, Radiohead or their labelmates Audrey from Sweden. Somewhere between being indie and being electro – without being explicitly one of these genres. They are a bit melancholic, a bit danceable and for sure they are unique. If you dig with electro pop wait for the upcoming full length and check them out!
