Oiro
Oiro
als was geht gott an karneval - lp/cd
flight13
After three brilliant 7“es Oiro now finally released their first full length. Again they copy the Jens Rachut style in such a perfection they create something of their own out of it. Still the same Wipers riffs, still the same style of lyrics, still the same female backings but compared to the last Oma Hans for example this stuff is more aerial, less heavy. They really manage to lengthen the denseness of the 7“ to album length. You might say this was just the fourth 7“ only a bit longer and you were right. No surprises here but why change a winning team?!? After all the 13 songs have a far broader variety like slower melancholy stuff and faster dancefloor smashers. The last song „l'ultimo bacio“ is even a reminiscence to italo disco. What do you expect me to write? I'm a fan. Seriously... I expected the best and I didn't get a iota less. One of the best punk records this year and definitely one of the most punk records as well. [jan]
