On their second full-length Bollo from Leipzig, Germany create an atmospheric and instrumental post-rock. Belonging to a genre that brought us so many astonishing artists in the last few years Bollo needs to create their own sound in order to stand out. In contrast to most of their companions the trio abstain from additional jazz elements or heavy climaxes and remain on the same sentimental level during the whole 40 minutes. The warm sound is very sophisticated. However through these nonexistent elements the sound easily tends to become background music. In the past Bollo composed and produced music for movies and theatre. I think their music works perfectly in this context. [benni]
