Oh my god it’s techno music! Juri Gagarin have always been kind of in the second row of the Audiolith roster. Despite awesome remixes for Der Tante Renate, Iskra, Plemo and so many more they never got the same attention their label mates got. This MUST change with their first full length “energia”!
From the first beat of the first track this record kills. Extremely well produced techno tracks that really deserve the term ‘songs’. Imagine a mix of T.Raumschmiere and the better Digitalism tracks with an even better hand for melodies and hooklines!
To round things up there are two remixes by Der Tante Renate and Rampue as well as guest vocals by former Iskra vocalist Flicke. If the soviets would have launched this against the Scorpions’ ‘wind of change’ we’d now all live in communism. This record is a weapon and by far the absolutely best Audiolith release to date!
