„summertime for a lifetime“ is the first release of a young pop punk / power pop band from Luxembourg. Miaow Miaow themselves seem to doubt whether to call this 14 songs their demo release or consider „Summertime for a lifetime“ to be their debut album.
Regarding this to be a demo release this CD is really matured. The whole artwork looks better than most full-length records on smaller labels and accords perfectly with the music. Even the lyric extracts from the booklet make me curious to listen to the record and the droll band name fits exactly to the ensemble. Considering this as a debut release it is just well-done pop punk. This isn't about reinventing the wheel, this is simply pop punk – either you like this familiar sound or you hate it! To me Miaow Miaow were great background entertainment while learning this afternoon.
