sonic gastronomy volume 1 - cd |

Hesus Attor is a noticeable example for a group of musicians carrying their musical virtuosity so far that it results in inaudibility. Squeezing genre after subgrene, the Croatian band puts heavy metal mosh, galloping grind core, bits of electronic music, oriental ethno, traditional folk stylistics and lullabies in a big blender. The final good isn’t convincing, though. As much as the songs are like a musical rag rug without an integrating pattern the band wants to compensate the loss with general weirdness or what they consider as it (i.e. lots of childish melodies or whacky singing). Finally the “sonic gastronomy” record proves that weirdness by itself can’t make up a good record. [phillip]
