This record couldn’t have been released rightfully on any other label but Audiolith. Frittenbude’s trademark style mix of four to the floor electronic beats, hip hop influenced vocals and a serious amount of weirdness fits the label perfectly.
The record kicks off directly with one of its highlights. “hildegard” is a druggy smasher based on an old Hildegard Knef schlager about red roses. Other hits I’d point out are “ein affentanz” and “mindestens in 1000 jahren”. The album works on two different levels. It is a decent listening record as well as a collection of potential hits at your next local kiezdisco. In some way it is very much like a dj set itself. Some songs are not more than okay but the hit quota is way above 50%. Best lyrics in contemporary electronic music in this shitty country and best Audiolith release since Juri Gagarin’s full length. Turn your bedroom into a dancefloor!
