Kachel from München play thrashy hardcore with good lyrics ranging from poltics to playing with tin soldiers. Six songs in about ten minutes (plus acoustic bonus track) pretty much tell what to expect: fast, straight hardcore without too much curlicue. The strong lead guitars remind me of Just Went Black at times. But where the Hamburg based band is dark and emo, Kachel are angry and pissed off. The raging vocals got some Limp Wrist in them and the artwork is awesome (koalas! penguins!). Good band with nice people. If hardcore was always like this I’d even enjoy going to shows!  [jan]
