The music on this piece of plastic is less crazy but still rather far out. Rien play epic, lengthy postrock with a psychedelia bonus. Imagine Pink Floyd were a d.i.y. band touring squats and you get pretty close. At some points they got real pop structures and almost sound like indie rock but most of the time they are more of an experience than entertainment. On “cowboys don’t cry” they even get into country or folk or something but, well, country or folk on drugs… If you like music that is intelligent and demanding Rien is your pair of shoes. And did I mention that the artwork is wow?!  [jan]
