Kleinstadthelden(small town heroes) hail from a small town near Bremen(D) and play trash pop for truckers in love, at least that what's written on the cover. A more common description for their music would be emotional punkrock in a Vagrant records sense, like Get Up Kids in their „something to write home about“-phase with german lyrics maybe. The voice reminds me on 'Popstars'-coach Lukas Hilbert and this is meant to be a compliment as I pretty much like what he did with his former band Roh. The lyrics all cover personal topics and broken hearts are big in Osterholz-Schambeck. The production is awesome and the artwork with the geese is brilliant. Every detail is so full of passion. I really can't believe that this band got no record deal. Music like this can hardly be done any better really...
In a better world stuff like this would fill the airwaves. But this world is a bad place and so Panzerdivision Silbermond strikes again. All three songs are veritable hits and fucking ear candy. If you don't believe me you can listen to the whole tour-ep as audio stream on the bands homepage.
These boys got emo! [jan]
